COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS

Xcel Program (Ages 7+)

The Xcel Program, established in 2013, allows gymnasts to compete at lower skill levels compared to the Junior Olympic (JO) program. Its purpose is to offer flexibility and a rewarding experience for gymnasts of varying abilities. Sanctioned by USA Gymnastics and adopted by Gymnastics Canada, Xcel has developed into a comprehensive program with levels Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, aligning with Junior Olympic levels.

Gymnasts create personalized routines and select floor music that suits their style. The commitmet for this program is 12 months, including summer training. The program aims to keep gymnasts engaged and allows them to compete sooner by reducing entry-level skill requirements. Additionally, it supports older gymnasts who want a fun way to stay active while progressing to higher skill levels.

  • Xcel Bronze

  • Xcel Silver

  • Xcel Gold

  • Xcel Platinum (New!)

Note: Training Commitment is 12 months (July to June), with 3 days a week (12 hours/week).

Provincial Program (Ages 9+)

Gymnasts ages 9 and up who are ready to move into a higher competitive level will be chosen for one of these teams. Provincial athletes will attend 3 qualifying competitions to earn a chance to compete at the Ontario Championships, as well as an option to attend Invitational competitions or a Team Travel meet.

Entry into the provincial competitive level typically follows a progression from pre-competitive, Xcel or Showcase programs. Athletes at the provincial level must participate in three qualifying meets throughout Ontario, competing for the opportunity to take part in the Provincial Championships held in the spring.

In our first season, Catalyst competitive athletes performed exceptionally well, and we couldn't be prouder! Our competitive athletes display a strong work ethic, dedication, sportsmanship, perseverance, time management, teamwork, confidence, and goal-setting skills, all while enhancing their abilities and achieving remarkable strength and flexibility.

  • Provincial Levels 6-10

Training Commitment: 20-25 hrs/week 12 months long.
